Warwick drag racing to be live streamed around world
DRAG RACING: Action from the Warwick Dragway early next year will be live streamed around the world.
The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) today announced it would partner with Garmin Australia to live stream all remaining rounds in the 2016-2017 season starting with the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series at Mildura Sunset Strip on October 22-23.
A spokesman for the ANDRA said Garmin Australia had secured live streaming naming rights ensuring ANDRA Drag Racing would be broadcast globally and made available 24/7 on demand via the internet and social media in addition to the Motorsports TV app.
“A highlights package will compliment the live stream in Australia on SBS (free to air) and Fox Sports (Pay TV) and internationally on UK, Europe, South East Asia and North/South American networks,” ANDRA business development manager Jennifer Harrison said.
Securing another ANDRA round and live streaming in February is a major boost to the Warwick District Drag Racing Association which is heading into its busiest period of the year.
The Six Bangers Weekend is on September 3-4 this year and then the VW Weekend on October 1-2.
Dragfest is tradionally the biggest meeting of the Warwick season is on October 15-16.
