Warwick driver’s wet first day in Endeavour Rally
WARWICK’S Geoff Lang recaps his first day in the Endeavour Rally.
After a very wet Saturday at scrutineering and vehicle prep at the Endeavour Centre at Goodna, all cars departed under clear skies from Ipswich at 7am Sunday.
Once we got to the Darling Downs we were met with wet weather on and off for most of the day, right through to the Western Downs.
The TFS tilt tray, now nicknamed Towsta, only had one breakdown to pick up for the day when 200km out of Roma, south of Condamine, the Roma-based ladies, named the Endeavour Angels, had an alternator failure in their Holden Torana.
We towed the car back to their workshop in Roma, where they repaired it overnight and met us in Mitchell this morning (yesterday) all ready to go again.
