Warwick drives steals the show again in Carrera Cup
MOTOR RACING: Matt Campbell has boosted his chances of a first Porsche Carrera Cup series victory with two wins in round 5 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Campbell won both races after finishing first in qualifying and fastest in the second practice session at the weekend.
He was second in the first practice session behind Ipswich driver Ash Walsh.
Before the weekend, he had a narrow lead over Alex Davison in the championship but that has now ballooned out to 72.5 points after Davison was sixth and fourth in the two races.
Campbell will now finish with rounds at Sandown, Bathurst and Gold Coast, the same three weekends when he will co-drive with Todd Kelly in a Nissan in the enduro events in the V8 Supercars series.
