Warwick East success in school sport
SCHOOL SPORT: All roads from Warwick East lead to sporting carnivals. Well, that was almost the case in term 1 with plenty of Southern Downs and Darling Downs selections.
Warwick East State School trio William Ready, Noah Dwan and Kaleb Driscoll have made the Darling Downs 10-12 years softball team to play at the state championships at Noosa in September.
It will be the second state carnival for William and the first for Noah and Kaleb.
Madi Balloch has been selected for Darling Downs for the second time and Shardae Wright for the first time in orienteering and both are off to the state championships in Kingaroy on July 30-31.
William Ready and Ryan Clark have made the Southern Downs hockey team to try out for regional selection on April 17.
Koby Bormolini and Todd Newport are in the 12 years Southern Downs rugby league team to trial for the Darling Downs team on April 17. Warwick East student Codie Johnson is in the 11 years Southern Downs team for regional trials in his age group on the same day.
Noah Dwan is in the Darling Downs softball team for the state championships in Noosa and will trial for the Darling Downs team in football on May 2-3.
William Ready is in one Darling Downs teams and aiming for another.
Last year, he represented Darling Downs in softball and is aiming to go one better, state selection this year.
He was named as a shadow for regional hockey last year and his pass mark this year is the Darling Downs team.
