Warwick forward starts training with the Force

RUGBY UNION: Warwick Water Rats forward Will Dearden has started training with the Western Force under-20 teams under the Future Force program.

After playing for the Water Rats in B grade and for The Scots PGC College in school rugby last year, Dearden was approached by the Western Force and has signed a two-year deal.

His parents Chris and Kathy Dearden headed to Perth with the young forward for four days before Will officially started training this week.

Will is a tall second rower who has impressed with his ability in the lineout. He is one of two 17-year-olds in the program.

Some of his games will be curtain-raisers to Western Force games in the Super Rugby competition.

He has also linked with the Kalamunda Bulls to play club rugby in the Perth competition.
