Warwick gets one more TAB meeting

WARWICK Turf Club will step in to host the March 14 TAB meeting left vacant by Clifford Park's ongoing closure.

The Clifford Park course proper remains closed to racing until at least March 21 as it makes steady recovery from maintenance work in January.

Racing Queensland yesterday announced Allman Park as its replacement venue, ahead of the Clifford Park inner track.

The Warwick card carries $14,000 prize money per race. The program is: Benchmark 80 Handicap (1350m); Benchmark 70 Handicap (2000m); Class 2 Handicap (1100m); Class 1 Handicap (1350m); Maiden Plate (1500m); Maiden Plate (1100m); QTIS 3-Y-O Rating 0-70 Handicap (1500m).

Warwick hosts a TAB meeting tomorrow which will give the club four TAB meetings in less than three months.

Tinto returns

TOOWOOMBA four-year-old Tinto begins her Sydney autumn campaign at Warwick Farm tomorrow.

Tinto will resume racing for trainer Rex Lipp in the $140,000 Group Three Guy Walter Stakes over 1400 metres.

It will be the mare's first start since winning the Magic Millions Stayers Cup (1800m) at the Gold Coast on January 10.

That victory - her fifth from 17 starts - followed her win in the Listed Bernborough Handicap (1600m) at Clifford Park on New Year's Eve.

Tinto has drawn gate nine in tomorrow's classy 17-horse mares' line-up where she'll be ridden by regular jockey Tim Bell.

Tinto's autumn missions include the $600,000 Fillies and Mares Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill on March 14.
