FIVE-eighth Brodie Frizzell scored three tries and landed three goals in a Warwick State High School 26-10 victory against St Mary's 2 at Collegians Oval yesterday.

Warwick High led 18-6 at half-time and 26-6 with six minutes to go before St Mary's scored a late try.

Frizzell said the performance by the Warwick High team was much improved on a trial game loss to Stanthorpe High a fortnight ago.

"We have to train hard and bond better," Frizzell said.

Coach Robert Stewart said it was always good to beat a team from St Mary's, Toowoomba.

"We have been training three times a week," he said.

"After the loss to Stanthorpe, we had a bit to prove this week and worked better as a team

Tim Collins and Josh Ryan each scored a try.

It was a gala afternoon of rugby league at the junior rugby league grounds with Warwick High at home to two combined teams from Inglewood and Texas state schools and St Joseph's, Stanthorpe.

In the B-grade game, Warwick High won 40-0 after leading 26-0 at half-time. Jordan Piovesan was again in top form for the home team.

Angus Croft was outstanding in the halves as Warwick High beat Inglewood/Texas/St Joseph's 36-0 in A-grade rugby league.

Warwick High won the three netball games at Barnes Park.
