Warwick junior polocrosse on Totally Wild show
POLOCROSSE: Six Warwick Polocrosse Club juniors will be the toast of their club when they appear in a Totally Wild segment later this year.
A Totally Wild crew of three from Channel 10 was at Morgan Park yesterday to shoot footage of the juniors in action.
Presenter Kellyn Morris headed the Totally Wild team and said she was amazed by the sport.
“I am originally from the city and this is the first time I have seen polocrosse,” she said.
“We want to help get these players to the nationals. It is incredible to see the co-ordination and tactics needed.”
Callum Brook has been coming to Morgan Park since he was a baby.
He doesn’t remember the first World Cup in 2003 when he was two, but he was there.
“It will be a good promotion on Totally Wild for people to see what polocrosse is about,” he said.
He played for Queensland juniors in this year’s nationals at Albury and said long-term, he was keen to make an Australian team to play in a World Cup.
The segment on polocrosse will be on Totally Wild in six to eight weeks.
It will be part of a segment at 8am on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday.
