AUSTRALIA Day is just six sleeps away, so start gathering your akubras and flags, because this year is all about dressing up.

Warwick Tourism and Events chief executive officer Tracy Vellacott said this year's celebrations would take a colourful turn, as she urged all to dress up for the occasion.

"When you think about some of the amazing icons of Australian culture, there is no end to the possibilities for dressing with Australian inspiration," Mrs Vellacott said.

One young Aussie who will be donning his patriotic gear for the day is Landon Moore.

Landon said he will be dressing head to toe in his Aussie gear.

"I'll wear my hat, too, and eat vegemite sandwiches," Landon said.

The Rotary Club of Warwick is sponsoring a dress-up competition at Victoria Park and movie tickets will be awarded to the best dressed.
