Warwick Little Athletics appoints its manager

LITTLE ATHLETICS: Sarah Jenner is the new manager for the Warwick Little Athletics Centre.

She has a long involvement with the sport and will be assisted in her role next season by assistant manager Jamie Charles and a committee.

The group held its annual general meeting in conjunction with the recent trophy presentations.

The awards were presented by little athletics life member Margaret Waltisbuhl.

The Warwick centre had a successful season culminating with some excellent performances at the state championships, including some medal wins.

There were 40 regulars at little athletics in 2016-2017 and club officials will be hoping to better that number next season.

Competition will resume at Hamilton Oval in September with all athletes able to compete in sprints, jumps, throws, hurdles and long distance events.

There are different distances for different ages and walks for some age groups. Watch the Daily News for the re-start dates and times in September.

See pictorial on the little athletics season in Daily News next week.
