Warwick Men's Shed back on the tools for good

CONTINUING their valuable community work has become a lot easier for the volunteers of Warwick Men's Shed, as they take ownership of a new set of tools.

The money for the set, $2994, came by way of a Southern Downs Regional Council grant.

Southern Downs mayor Tracy Dobie and councillors McNally, Kelly, Meiklejohn, Pennisi, Stocks and Windle were on hand to present the men with the keys to their new tools.

Men's Shed president John Nohlmans said the group had been working with old, donated tools for years.

"I guarantee these won't look so shiny next time you come,” he said.

"We're very grateful to council for their support.”

Cr Dobie said it was a pleasure to help a group like the Men's Shed that exemplified volunteer service in the region.
