Warwick no longer pumping out cheapest fuel in Queensland
WARWICK has lost bragging rights to having the cheapest unleaded petrol in Queensland, according to the RACQ's Monthly Fuel Price Report.
RACQ spokesperson Renee Smith said that with an average of 151.2 cents per litre for ULP in April, Warwick fell short in price compared to several other parts of the state.
"ULP on the Sunshine Coast was the cheapest in Queensland last month with an average of 149cpl," Ms Smith said.
"It was followed by the Gold Coast on 150.2cpl, Brisbane on 151cpl and Ipswich on 150.7cpl.
"Warwick motorists scored a better deal than those in many other areas though, with fuel in Warwick 1cpl cheaper than it was Toowoomba, 7.7cpl better priced than in Goondiwindi and 5.9cpl less than in Roma.
"We urge motorists to use RACQ's Fair Fuel Price service, which is a great tool for finding out how much you should be paying for fuel in your area."
