Warwick cricket pair makes Darling Downs sides
CRICKET: Pat Gordon and Lucy Bourke have made Darling Downs 12 years cricket teams to play in this year's state championships.
Pat, a student at Assumption College, was selected after trials in Warwick, Stanthorpe and Goondiwindi.
He was joined by Morgan Bourke in the Darling Downs Country side which played Darling Downs City at Goondiwindi in the final regional trial.
Pat will be wicketkeeper/batsman for Darling Downs in the state championships in Mackay in early November.
Lucy Bourke, from The Scots PGC College, made the Darling Downs girls' team which was named after trials at Goondiwindi.
She will play in the state championships at the Brisbane Grammar School fields at Northgate on October 25-28.
This was Lucy's second Darling Downs selection within a week, as she qualified for the Darling Downs athletics team after four wins at Harristown in the regional championships.
