Warwick parkrunners plan to enjoy J and J theme

RUNNING: The Warwick parkrun group has been averaging more than 50 runners each Saturday despite the cooler weather in winter.

On Saturday, parkrun will start at 7am from below the rugby union grounds and is two laps of a course each side of the Condamine River. Participants are asked to be on site at 6.50am.

Regular parkrunner Tara Behrmann said participants were welcome to run, walk, lead the dog or push a pram.

"There is no set time to complete the five kilometres but parkrun is always over within the hour,” she said.

In keeping with the Jumpers and Jazz theme, the July 29 parkrun will be a morning with a difference.

"Wear your onesie or PJs for the morning,” she said.

"As always, parkrun on July 29 will be just for fun as we join in the Jumpers and Jazz spirit.”

The parkrun group has a tree in Jumpers and Jazz outside Rivers in Palmerin St.

There is no charge but new participants are asked to go on the parkrun website and print out a barcode for timing purposes.
