Warwick put to test in inter-district netball

NETBALL: The majority of Warwick teams in the older age groups had one loss in round 3 of Darling Downs Inter-district Netball at Goondiwindi yesterday.

The Warwick teams had between four and six games on the day.

Despite playing on hard courts and grass in wet conditions, there were no injuries among the players in the 10 teams.

The Warwick open team won five of its six games and is on target to make the final again after winning in 2015. The one loss was to Goondiwindi.

The Warwick 2 team plays in 15/16 years division 1 and won all of its games other than a close loss to Lockyer.

It was the same story with the Warwick 3 15-years team which lost one game during the day, by two points to Goondiwindi.

Warwick 4 (14 years) had three wins and the one loss to Chinchilla.

In 13/14 years division 2, Warwick 5 had four wins, one draw and one loss.

Warwick 6 had one win and three losses while Warwick 7 had some narrow losses.

Warwick 8 had three wins and three losses while Warwick 9 had one win and five losses in an older age group. Warwick 10 is one of the two youngest teams from the Southern Downs and reoorded its first win of the season.
