Warwick race day to feature on television

KICK back with a couple of beers and watch the races on Sunday.

The Warwick Turf Club is holding the Christmas Party Race Day.

It's a TAB meet and the only races on in Queensland on Sunday.

All seven races will be televised across Australia.

Warwick Turf Club committee member Nick Inmon said they were hoping for a big turn-out.

"It's going to be a really casual day, everyone can bring along a marquee, tables, chairs and just relax," he said.

"We'd like to see a big crowd because our racecourse is being shown to Australia.

"There's no need to be overly dressed up, just bring along a few friends and enjoy your Sunday afternoon."

The first race starts at 1.05pm. The event is sponsored by Kerry Scanlan Concreting, Canning Downs, Horse Power and Hannaford's Accounting.
