Warwick residents wake to thick fog blanketing city
DRIVERS are moving carefully through Warwick this morning as a thick blanket of fog covers the city.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Annabelle Ford said the foggy start was caused by moisture left over from rain on Wednesday.
But residents can expected the fog to clear within the next hour.
"It's pretty thick in a lot of places this morning and should start clearing up after 9am,” Ms Ford said.
"The moisture will be hanging around and we will be seeing fog over the next couple of mornings.”
Another cloud band is expected to develop over the weekend, which is predicted to cause rain to fall in Warwick on Sunday and Monday.
"Sunday and Monday we are expecting a rainfall of around 10 millimetres, with a chance of a thunderstorm within that rain band on Monday,” Ms Ford said.
Today's temperature will reach a top of 21 degrees with clear skies expected once the fog clears.
