Warwick Rodeo coming up
THE Mt Isa Rodeo is rated as one of the top two in the Australian Professional Rodeo Association along with Warwick.
Shane Kenny, who now lives at Emerald, is the most successful cowboy in the history of professional rodeo in Australia and was one of the event winners last year at Warwick.
The Warwick Rodeo is on the last full weekend in October and going on the large nominations for Mt Isa, is set to again live up to its tag as "the most famous rodeo in Australia"
Mt Isa winners: Saddle bronc Rhys Angland, bull ride David Kennedy, bareback Anthony Thomas, rope and tie Shane Kenny, steer wrestling Shane Iker, team roping Aaron Bookluck and Brendan Kenny, barrel race Jo Farquhar, breakaway Rachelle Stanley, all around Michael Stanley and Jo Farquhar, second division Aaron Briener.
