Groups raise the bar at Warwick Street Parade
JUDGES of this year's Warwick Credit Union Street Parade said the 44 community groups, schools and business who made their way down Palmerin St on Saturday had raised the bar again.
"It just goes up a notch every year," Mrs Pat Benkendorff said.
"It was very difficult to choose a winner."
Lewis von Stieglitz from the Warwick Credit Union agreed it was a tough decision.
"I think it was better than last year," he said.
"This year people have definitely gone to a lot of effort."
After watching the groups march, dance, sing, play and drive along Palmerin St to the Hooves and Grooves theme the judges picked the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society as the overall winner.
Southern Downs Regional Council Mayor Peter Blundell said it was great to see so many people out watching the parade.
"It is brilliant to see so many turn out - both locals and visitors," he said.
"Everyone is so enthusiastic and everybody had a great time."
