RENOVATIONS to the Warwick RSL Memorial Club are almost complete.

A room designed to hold about 80 people for conferences and various functions has been built on the northern side of the building.

Warwick RSL Memorial Club manager Jo Schwenke said the new room was designed to benefit the whole community.

"We've never been able to offer the community a function room apart from Kings Theatre," she said.

"Now we are able to cater for a whole range of functions, whether it's training days or even weddings.

"The function room is completely private."

Mrs Schwenke said the room is self-sufficient with access to private toilets and the ability to close off an area of the room for an even smaller function.

"The room also has entry into the kitchen which allows table service," she said.

"We have a projector as well so companies can use the room for various presentations."

Mrs Schwenke said the room would be finished to the highest standards.

"We want the community to have somewhere really nice to hold functions," she said.

"When the room is finalised there will be artwork on the walls and custom-made curtains to finish the look of the room."

In addition to the function room an "air lock" has been created at both entrances to the RSL.

The "air lock" means there are two sets of glass sliding doors at both entrances so when people enter none of the air-conditioning can escape which keeps the temperature in the building more consistent.

The new function room should be completed within coming weeks.
