Warwick rugby player in nationals in Perth
RUGBY UNION: Warwick footballer Arnie Briel is in Perth this weekend to play for the Queensland White team in the national youth sevens.
He has been regularly travelling to Brisbane to train with the team.
Briel played a lot of rugby in his five years at The Scots PGC College and been part of the First XV for the past two years.
This year he represented Darling Downs in the state schoolboys championships in the 15-man game where he plays as a flanker or No.8.
He has also represented Darling Downs in a state-wide under-17 competition.
Briel has played a lot of school and representative sevens rugby and plays for the Iconz Sevens team in the Brisbane men's sevens rugby competition.
He is enrolled in Rugby Tek in Brisbane to study for a diploma in business and play rugby next year.
"I want to reach my full potential in rugby,” he said.
Since he was a little boy, Briel has wanted to play rugby and his ambition hasn't changed.
