Warwick set to escape severe thunderstorm warning
WARWICK is set to escape the wild weather conditions unscathed this afternoon.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of the Darling Downs amd Granite Belt by the BOM this afternoon, however the Rose City will not bear the brunt.
"The cells are pretty slow moving and have cleared away from Warwick,” a BOM spokeswoman said.
"They are moving towards the north west and Warwick is out of the firing line.”
Conditions have quickly changed in Warwick over the course of the last hour, with blue skies and warm temperatures replaced by ominous grey clouds and wind.
Warwick has gone an entire week without rainfall, as temperatures continue to remain above 30 degrees.
