Prices drop with smaller yarding at sheep sale

WARWICK selling agents yarded 990 lambs and hoggets, and 303 sheep yesterday.

Top lambs, account Norma Chalk of Mt Colliery, sold for $139.

In a smaller yarding, the lamb market was cheaper for all descriptions with the mutton market firm on previous sales.

Crossbred lambs 46-55kg liveweight selling $122 to $131.

 

Crossbred lambs 42-45kg liveweight selling $112 to $123.

 

Crossbred lambs 36-42kg liveweight selling $108 to $117.

 

Crossbred lambs 35-40kg liveweight selling $198 to $104.

 

Crossbred lambs 60.8kg liveweight selling to $139.

 

Crossbred hoggets 61.2kg liveweight selling to $86 shorn (skin value)

 

Heavy Xbred ewes $6 Selling to $ 86 or $ 3/kg est dress weight

 

Light ewes $10 selling to $ 55 or $2.85/kg est dress weight
