Warwick speedster caught doing 165kmh in 70 zone

A WARWICK man has been intercepted by police doing more than double the speed limit, just 25 minutes into the New Year.

Police alleged the 20-year-old Bracker Rd resident was caught doing 165km/hr in a 70km/hr zone on Bracker Rd just after midnight.

Officer-in-charge Jamie Deacon said the man was issued an infringement notice for $1099 with an automatic six-month driving suspension.

The driver also lost eight demerit points.
