Warwick State High School goes Back to the 80s
THEATRE FANS will get a blast from the past when the Warwick State High School musical Back to the 80s opens this Thursday night.
Director Katie-Jane Henderson said preparations for the show were going to plan.
"Everything's really good," Miss Henderson said.
"The kids are full of energy and working hard to have it looking good and show everyone what they've got."
The show is Miss Henderson's first production and she said she appreciates the energy students bring to each rehearsal.
"The kids are very supportive of each other," she said.
"For a first production I don't think I could have asked for a better crew, it's so enjoyable to work with these guys.
"The leads organised their own rehearsal last week going through all their scenes and songs together, I was very impressed by that."
A full dress rehearsal on Sunday prepared students to bring back the big hair and fashion of the 80s with even bigger energy.
Back to the 80s will hit Warwick Town Hall this Thursday night at 7pm.
Several tickets are still available for the opening night on Thursday, with limited numbers remaining for the Friday and Saturday night.
