Red Frogs volunteer hopping and shaking for pancakes
WARWICK teenager Nathanial Leigh has put his hand up to help our 2015 school leavers as they make their way to the Gold Coast for Schoolies Week.
The 18-year-old will be a member of the Red Frogs volunteer crew which helps Year 12 graduates stay safe while they're celebrating the end of their schooling.
Part of Mr Leigh's responsibilities as a volunteer will be to make sure the past students get home safely and sober up with food and water.
Red Frogs are well known for their pancake calls, where students can call the organisation and receive free pancakes delivered and made at their apartment.
Mr Leigh is seeking help from the public and asking members of the Warwick community to donate as many pancake shakers as possible.
A donation box will be located outside Bi-Lo at Rose City Shoppingworld from October 19 until October 31, where residents can drop off donations.
Mr Leigh said he was excited to become part of the Red Frogs team.
"I'm fortunate enough to join them this year as a hotel chaplin," he said.
"I'm excited to give back to the community.
"At the moment we're asking for 10,000 pancake shakers.
"If we could take 1000, I'd still be stoked.
"When the kids start drinking a lot of alcohol they need to eat and they need to drink plenty of water."
