Warwick teen totals vehicle after slamming into pole

A WARWICK teen wrote off his car after crashing into an electrical pole on the corner of Wood St and Albion St last night.

Sergeant Shane Reid said the 17-year-old boy was travelling south on Albion St at 10.30pm when he made a right turn into Wood St and lost control, hitting the pole.

While the boy did not suffer any injuries, his vehicle was extensively damaged.

Fire services also arrived at the scene but a QFES spokewoman said no one was trapped as a result of the crash.

Ergon Energy also needed to inspect the pole, she said.

No charges have been laid at this stage but police investigations will continue today.
