Warwick teenager allegedly helps steal and dump car

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy from Warwick has been cautioned for a car theft in Allora.

The Southern Downs town has experienced multiple car thefts in recent months, most of which involved cars being stolen from residences and then being returned.

Acting Sergeant Matt Shield said the Warwick teenager was involved in the first theft in the spree, on October 12.

The car was reportedly stolen from Allora township and then dumped on Maryvale St on the outskirts of the town.

Acting-Sgt Shield said a second 16-year-old male from Allora was also cautioned for four of the offences.

Both teenagers will be dealt with through the Youth Justice Act.

Last month a 13-year-old boy was charged with four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving in relation to the alleged stealing spree.
