Warwick Uniting Church gets Messy
HEAD along to Warwick Uniting Church this Friday night for a night of arts and crafts.
Parishioner Sue Campbell said the church was prepared for an evening of fun at Messy Church.
"At Messy Church we experience through crafts and story the coming of the Holy Spirit to the community that would form the early Christian church," Mrs Campbell said.
"This is the story of Pentecost - with the noise, wind and fire, and speaking in foreign languages that was so unfamiliar to the early church.
"We hold Messy Church on the second Friday of every month through the school term - two per term and it is a very informal way to introduce faith stories to young families."
Mrs Campbell said anyone was welcome to join Messy Church for a family night with games, a meal and dessert, and a variety of crafts and a short lesson in the church on the theme of Pentecost.
Messy Church runs from 5 - 7.30pm at the Warwick Uniting Church on Guy St. For more information phone the church office on 4661 1080 during the morning.
