Warwick wins best country club of the Downs award

SWIMMING: The Warwick Swimming Club has been presented with the overall country championship trophy at the Darling Downs Regional Swimming Association awards.

The Warwick Swimming Club won the country championship overall trophy at the championships at Stanthorpe and also won the Lance Reddick trophy in regional swimming.

Warwick Swimming Club captains Caitlin Skaines and Will Gilmore were at the end of season awards night in Toowoomba to receive the trophies.

The Day siblings, Emma and William, Caitlin Skaines, Will Gilmore and Liam Vickers were all presented with age championship trophies from the carnival in Stanthorpe and also received perpetual trophies which they keep for a year.

The Warwick club is in the middle of club championships on a Friday night and will revert to Thursday next week for the last night of the championships due to the Friday show holiday.
