Warwick Wolves women's team in committed effort
WARWICK fought back well in women's football at Tenterfield yesterday before going down.
The Warwick Wolves conceded two early goals before levelling 2-all at half-time.
Tenterfield took the lead with a goal midway through the second half and ended up winning 5-2.
Maddie Ross and Sharni Rielly were the scorers for Warwick.
Warwick coach Derek Kane said his players did really well in the first half.
"We fell away a bit in the second half against a more experienced Tenterfield side," Kane said.
"It was a good team performance by a developing side."
Elise Wyvill, Kendra Daniels and Ashleigh Kane were three of the best for Warwick.
The Warwick women train each Tuesday and Thursday at Queens Park at 6pm with more players welcome
Sam McLennan scored five goals as premiers Warwick beat Tenterfield 7-2 in the colts game in Stanthorpe Football yesterday.
In the late game, Warwick played Tenterfield in men's.
The Wolves are at home in three games on Saturday.
