Warwick woman wins $1000 just by reading the paper
GETTING the paper delivered just scored Tania Whitton $1000.
By simply playing the Daily News Bill Busters Bingo, Miss Whitton has scooped the weekly prize.
"I generally enter the competitions, when you have them," she said.
"I wasn't sure about this one, but I gave it a go anyway.
"All it cost me was a phone call and you know what they say.
"You've go to be in it to win it."
So after getting her bingo card out of the paper and matching up the daily numbers, Miss Whitton discovered she had a weekly winning ticket.
"I knew there was going to probably be more than one winner so I rang the 1900 number on the card and registered my winning entry," she said.
"From there my entry was selected from the other winning tickets and I find out today I've won a $1000 debit card, which is awesome!.
"I'm so excited."
Mis Whitton said the prize is a nice bonus.
"I'm pretty sure we'll just spend it," she said.
"I'd like to go on a shopping spree.
"Maybe spend some on the kids as well.
"No doubt they'll make up a list telling me exactly what they'd like us to but them."
Miss Whitton said she'd make the most of the unexpected windfall.
"I might leave some for around Christmas time, maybe a little," she said.
"We should just have some fun with it, it's come from nowhere.
"I mean I could pay the rates with it, but that's hardly much fun now is it.
"It's money we didn't have before so I'm thinking we should just spend it.
"I'm looking forward to splashing out and just having some fun."
