Warwick’s five best breakfasts to warm up your morning
BREAKFAST is the most important meal of the day, and here in Warwick, we’re spoilt for choice.
But among all the breakfasts our town has to offer, there are those must-eats, those unusual offerings; those places with perfectly crisp bacon and all-day pancakes.
What we want in Warwick, especially now it’s cooling down, are hearty eats that come withpout a big hit to the hip pocket.
Here is our five-point bucket list of morning eats in Warwick.
Bluebird Kitchen’s Hash and Brisket
But it’s not just your run of the mill steak and potato brekky. Bluebird fry up a delicious potato hash made from the best potatoes in the region. Their brisket is cooked long and slow and contains a hearty meat flavour that pairs perfectly with a poached egg. As an added bonus, Bluebird Cafe serve their potato hash and brisket with avocado.
Belle Vue’s Crunchy Waffles
Waffles are one of those breakfasts that can go so wrong. But when it’s done right, it’s heaven on a plate. Belle Vue do a mean version, with their own housemade crunchy waffles with ice cream, berry compote, fresh strawberries and nuts.
The Cherry Tree Stack
Very little beats avo in the morning, and The Cherry Tree Cafe don’t need to be told that twice. Their specialty brekky consists of smashed avocado and fetta on toasted turkish bread topped with two rashers of bacon, haloumi and two poached free-range eggs.
Cafe Jacqui’s Eggs Benedict
Cafe Jacqui’s French twist on this brekky classic, is a decadent morning treat. Instead of serving the poached egg, ham and hollandaise with toast, they swap in a croissant.
Gardens Galore’s blueberry pikelets
There are few places that can pull off a good, classic pikelet, and Warwick’s Gardens Galore gives the CWA a good run for their money.
At the moment they serve up blueberry pikelets with a delicious peach syrup, clotted cream and roasted coconut.
