Warwick's Kimmince leads Heat to victory
AFTER leading the way with the bat for the Brisbane Heat in their WBBL opener last week, Delissa Kimmince has again played a key role for her team.
The Warwick all-rounder took two wickets as the Heat claimed a six-wicket victory over the Perth Scorchers last night.
Perth won the toss and elected to bat first at Allan Border Field in Brisbane, reaching a score of 7-112 off their 20 overs.
Kimmince took two vital wickets in her four-over spell, removing opener Elyse Villani for 15, and ending the run of Katherine Brunt on 29 and putting a holt to a 49-run partnership.
Brisbane were always in control in the second innings, with an unbeaten 50 from Kirby Short and 45 from Deandra Dottin leading the way, and guiding the Heat to victory with seven balls to spare.
The Heat next play the Renegades on Friday at 1pm.
