GLORY: Hear the boys talk after Broncos Cup victory

RUGBY LEAGUE: No one ever doubts the ability of Goondiwindi teams in school and club footy.

This week, it was school footy which took precedence when the Goondiwindi State High School team beat Warwick High 42-0 in the grand final on Wednesday.

Thirteen of the Goondiwindi players also play club rugby league but Charlie White was one of the players who just joined in for the school part of the rugby league season.

One of the Goondiwindi stars was Queensland White team player Trae Bennetto.

He will play for the Queensland White under-15 schoolboys team in the nationals at Redcliffe in the forthcoming school holidays.

Captain Bill Bouchier and player Heath Green rated lock Isarah McGrady as one of their best players in the final when they spoke to the Daily News after the game.

The Broncos Cup rugby league competition involved players from 10 schools with some of the smaller schools nominating composite teams.
