Water bomber sent to large vegetation fire
SIX fire crews are working to bring a large vegetation fire under control at Stonehenge, about 70km west of Warwick.
Crews were called to the scene near Stonehenge Rd and Strathyre Rd about noon today.
A spokeswoman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said a water bomber had been deployed from Toowoomba about 15 minutes ago to help control the blaze.
She said it was unknown how big the fire was but it was not believed to be threatening property.
Smoke may affect Leyburn, Karara and surrounding areas, so residents are advised to close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by if required.
Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If you feel your property is under threat, call 000 immediately.
