Water clearing from Killarney as clean-up begins

WATER has completely cleared off Willow St in Killarney and the clean-up has begun.

Daily News' Killarney correspondent John Towells said business owners had returned to their shops with buckets and brooms.

"All of the main street is clear so we're cleaning up out here now," Mr Towells said.

"We've got volunteers helping clean the street down."

He said the water peaked at about 10pm last night, and again at about 8am this morning.

The rain has stopped in Killarney and residents hope they've seen the last of it.
