Water Rats ready for rugby and Ladies Day
RUGBY UNION: Warwick coach Vlad Savovski wants to celebrate Ladies Day at Risdon Oval with a B-grade win against Goondiwindi on Saturday.
The Goondiwindi A-grade side will play UQ Gatton at Gatton on Saturday afternoon and their B-grade side will play Warwick in Warwick after some golden oldies footy.
Ladies Day is from 1-5pm and there will be food, champagne, raffles and prizes to be won.
There will be Fashions of the Field at Risdon Oval as part of Ladies Day.
Savovski said the Water Rats would have a full squad at the B-grade game.
"We lost by four points to St George last weekend but there are no injuries from the game so we will have between 22 and 25 players at the game," he said.
"Goondiwindi are ahead of us on the table and we always expect a tough game from Goondiwindi.
"We have two wins from six games so far this season so desperately need a win to push our final-five hopes."
Savovski will make no positional changes this week.
"We have a forward pack as good as any in the competition and are backs are improving," he said.
"Flyhalf Max Hall played strongly in St George in taking the ball to the line with Josh Sharman impressing at inside
centre since moving from fullback."
Charlie Brennan is a Year 11 student at Scots PGC and has fitted in well at fullback in the past two games.
Golden oldies footy will be played at 2-3pm.
The B-grade game will be played at 3pm Saturday.
There is free admission to the footy with the meal cost $30. Bookings on club Facebook page or just turn up.

ROOKIES2REDS junior rugby will be played at Risdon Oval on Friday night.

Savovski any time from 3.30pm.
There are different times for different age groups.
The Warwick U15 girl's team will play at Highfields on Sunday at 1-3pm.
