Wattles set sights on another TRL title

THE Wattles Warriors Rugby League Club will prepare for the TRL grand final with a calcutta at the Railway Hotel, Allora,

tonight, at 6.30pm.

The night is for supporters and sponsors keen to bask in the glory of a season when the A-grade side has recorded 18 wins in 20 games in the competition.

Wattles are 80 minutes of footy away from what could be the club's first premiership since 1997.

The club has won two A-grade premierships since joining the TRL in the 1960s after earlier playing as Allora and Clifton in the Warwick and District St George Cup competition.

Tonight's Calcutta will start at 7pm when players numbers 1-17 will be auctioned.

The winner will be the buyer with the number of the first try scorer.

The Wattles weekend will climax at 3.30pm Sunday when the A-grade side takes on defending premiers Gatton in the A-grade season decider at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

The first of four games on Sunday will be the 10am under-18 grand final between Oakey and Highfields.
