Snow chase on Tuesday

SNOW ALERT: Time to get the snow chasing boots on!

MORE snow might be on the way, just in time for the school holidays.

The Higgins Storm Chasing website reports that a very cold air-mass will move across northern inland New South Wales during Tuesday to reach the Northern Tablelands by Tuesday night, which will see snow fall above 1100m on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

While there isn't enough moisture forecast to be around for any significant snow on this side of the border, the best places to have some really snowy fun will be only a few hour's drive away on the New England Highway in Ben Lomond and Guyra with up to 5cm expected.

This will be an excellent chance to experience snow on the doorstep to the Southern Downs.

Pile the family in the car and head off on a school holiday snow-chase.
