Welcome in the new year in true country style at Yangan
A LADIES steer ride has been added to the program for the Ray Bunch Machinery New Year's Eve Rodeo at the Yangan Hotel tomorrow night.
Organiser Vanessa Butler said the ladies would jump on steers provided by McIvor Brothers from Emu Vale.
"We want nominations for the bull rides and junior steer rides by Monday and nominations for other events can be on the night," Butler said.
The bulls for the open, novice and junior bull rides are being provided by Warwick contractor Frank Biddle.
McIvor Brothers will supply the steers, Pat McConville the calves for the poddy ride and Angus Gross the sheep for the mutton busters.
Boys and girls aged six and under will compete in mutton busters, children aged seven to 13 in the poddy ride and ages 14-17 in the junior steer ride.
A bus will leave Warwick from behind the town hall at 5pm tomorrow to take patrons to the rodeo.
It will return to Warwick from 10pm.
Patrons keen to travel by bus are asked to call Yangan Hotel on 4664 8213 to make a booking. There is no need to book for the return trip from Yangan to Warwick.
Nominations for the bull rides and junior steer ride are requested to the hotel today with late nominations only accepted if stock are available.
