What tonight has in store for Southern Downs snow chasers

TEMPERATURES will plummet below freezing tonight across the Southern Downs after last night's light snow fall.

Stanthorpe will drop to -4 degrees and Warwick -1.

Today the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting the mercury to rise to 11 degrees in Stanthorpe, 14 degrees in Warwick and 11 degrees in Toowoomba.

Overnight light snow was reported in Amiens, Stanthorpe, The Summit and Warwick.

However, more snow is unlikely tonight as there will be little moisture in the air.
