What's going on with the floppy Santa on Palmerin St

WHEN driving down Palmerin St in the last week, you might have caught a glimpse of a bit of red and white on top of What the Pop.

Not looking his usual jolly self, the flash of colour is a big inflatable Santa that's just waiting for the right time to spread some Christmas cheer.

The Santa will be part of a light show at the business, which is due to start in about a week.

What the Pop manager Kayla Clark said the inflatable Santa and Christmas lights would be on show from 6-8pm.

"Last year they had snow and reindeer, they go big for Christmas,” she said.

The display is still getting set up so there's no need to be concerned about Santa's stance.

Overlooking the corner of Palmerin and Grafton St, the display is sure to add some impressive festive spirit to the centre of town when it gets started.
