Big year of business networking ahead in Warwick
WHEN Julia Keogh, Brendan Goleby and Corinne Butler founded the Business Network of Warwick, they hoped to breathe life back into local after-hours business events.
A year later, they believe they've achieved their goal and they're ready to take it to the next level.
Speaking at the BNoW's first anniversary event on Tuesday night, Mr Goleby said the team had big ideas for the future.
"We've got some great events planned for later in the year," he said.
"We want BNoW to become a pinnacle part of the Southern Downs business community."
More than 30 business owners attended the networking event at the Criterion Hotel, including three Southern Downs councillors.
Ms Keogh told the crowd there would be an exciting addition to the next event, which will be held a week earlier on Tuesday, May 3.
"After the event we will have a free Ask the Expert session," she said.
"We'll have senior business people including a senior lawyer from Sydney to answer your questions.
"It's a great opportunity for us to tap in to their knowledge and experience."
The event will be held at the Criterion Hotel.
While getting the BNoW events off the ground has taken a lot of energy and support from Warwick businesses, the co-founders are seeing the fruits of their labour.
Ms Butler said the networking events had proven results for Warwick businesses.
"A lot of business has happened a result of these events," she said.
The BNoW networking events are free, and are usually held on the second Tuesday night of each month.
