When the show’s over, spirit keeps shining at dinner time

WELL-KNOWN poet Marco Gliori will entertain the crowd at the Ryanie For Tyres Show & Shine Charity Dinner on May 17 at the Hawker Road Function Centre.

The show and shine will be the 10th organised by Ryanie For Tyres and already $100,000 has been raised for the Warwick community.

The day starts with the show and shine from 9am-1pm at Federation Park, near the Madsen Bridge.

Co-organiser Melissa Byrne, from Ryanie For Tyres, said they were hoping 100 cars, bikes and boats would be nominated for the show and shine.

"We would appreciate entries before the day as it makes it a lot smoother to run," she said.

"Some drivers usually come from as far away as Brisbane for the day.

"There will be a jumping castle for the kids, food stalls and giveaways through the day."

There will be an auction at the charity dinner, with George McVeigh the auctioneer.

Items up for auction include a large range of sports memorabilia and any items donated in the lead-up to the day.

The Ford Brothers Duo from the Gold Coast will provide entertainment at the dinner.

They have played at private functions for actor Russell Crowe and provided backing music for country music star Troy Cassar-Daley

All money raised on the day will go to Blue Care and the Warwick Dementia Support Group.

Tickets for the charity dinner and show and shine shirts are available from Ryanie For Tyres, 37 Victoria St, phone 4661 1819.
