SHOOTING: Warwick Clay Target Club member Whitney Schoenfisch was one of the youngest shooters at the club's 137th anniversary shoot and is already in AA grade.

"I have shot for four or five years,” she said.

"I shoot for a bit of fun after first coming with my dad Cameron.”

George Costanzo won overall high gun at the 137th anniversary shoot with 137 out of 140.

He won from Keith Simpson after a shootoff was needed.

Kylie Green was best in A grade with 129 out of 137.

She has represented South East zone and attended multiple state shoots but is a regular at Warwick club shoots on the first Sunday each month.

Virtually every club is looking for numbers and David Cameron was at his second clay target shoot on Sunday.

"I remember going to the clay target club when in year 8 at Scots PGC and getting a few pointers on the sport from Greg Newey,” he said.

"What Greg showed me then I haven't forgotten,” he said.

As for his first ambition in the sport, it is to get out of C grade.

If he continues his current form, he will soon be out of C grade after shooting 124/137 in the anniversary shoot.

Long-time club member and volunteer Keith Rowling won B-grade with a score of 131/137.

The number of targets for each anniversary shoot goes up one with the year. Information from president David Cox on 0427967567.
