
Why Splendour didn't sell
A DECADE after it kicked off in sleepy Byron Shire, the Splendour in the Grass festival has achieved something unheard of in its history: it has not sold out of tickets.
Co-producers Paul Piticco and Jessica Ducrou today confirmed that 2011 was the first year tickets to one of the biggest music events in Australia will be available for sale at the door, not having sold prior to the festival's first day.

But bargain hunters beware - there will be no discounted last-minute prices.
