Wife's head pushed into door
WARWICK man James Frederick Green fronted court this week after lashing out at his wife’s taunts of infidelity by pushing her head into a door.
The 56-year-old appeared in the Warwick Magistrates Court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to one charge of breaching a domestic violence order issued last year and one charge of common assault.
The court heard the couple began to argue on the afternoon of July 17, when the woman began to make her way to the shed “to pack her bags”.
The police prosecutor told the court it was at that time the woman began to taunt the man with claims she had cheated on him with other men in the couple’s own bed.
Clearly angered by her taunts, Green was then heard to have grabbed the woman by the back of the neck and pushed her head, causing it to strike the door.
The court heard the couple have shared a 32-year relationship and the bickering had come about after she had brought up Green’s prior “indiscretions”.
Green was fined $1000 and no conviction was recorded.
