Wild party leads to five charges

THREE people will face court on five different charges after a wild birthday party in Inglewood on Friday night.

The party involved 60 people.

Police intervened when they were driving past and spotted a fight in the front yard of the Inglewood house.

Constable Lachlan Sharpe, of Inglewood police, said there were numerous fights at the party.

"One bottle was thrown towards police," he said.

A 19-year-old woman from Yelarbon was arrested at 11.45pm and charged with public nuisance, stating false name and assault police. She will face Inglewood Magistrates Court on March 8.

A 43-year-old man from Inglewood faces a midrange drink driving charge after being pulled over by police after leaving the party at 9.50pm Friday. He registered a blood alcohol level of .102.

Police also charged a 40-year-old Inglewood man who was leaving the party at 10.20am Saturday with drink driving after he registered a blood alcohol level of .083.

Both of the men charged with drink driving will face Inglewood Magistrates Court on March 8.

Police also issued a ticket to a 19-year-old man for public nuisance.
