Will scores two in Warwick colts football win

FOOTBALL: Wolves striker Will Gordon scored two goals as the Warwick colts beat Highfields 2-1 in the weekend game at Queens Park.

Warwick coach Tony Cooper said it was a close game with Warwick having the better of the scoring opportunities.

“Will scored both our goals and was the best player for Warwick,” Cooper said.

“The Warwick backline again worked well with Highfields having more possession but limited scoring chances.

Warwick now sitd second on the ladder and play ladder leaders West Wanderers on Friday in Toowoomba. The teams had a 2-2 draw the last time they played.

The Wolves went down 5-2 to Wanderers in premier men’s football on Saturday night in Toowoomba.

Wanderers were also too good for Warwick, winning 5-1 in the men’s reserves game.

Warwick hosted a girls’ carnival on Sunday which made for a busy day at Queens Park.

The Warwick women had the bye at the weekend.
